Let's face it, traffic is the life blood of any business. Without it, the business or website is useless and a waste of time and effort. Yet many webmasters do not know how to get the kind of traffic they need to really prosper. As a result, many spend great deals of money on first one kind of advertising then another. After awhile they get frustrated by the lack of results and give up.
These webmasters follow a simple (if misguided) idea that if they throw enough traffic at a particular website something will stick and they will make a sale. While this idea can be true, it is an expensive way to promote. More than likely, it will end in failure.
There are two basic types of traffic to be had online. Targeted traffic and untargeted traffic. Targeted traffic is what all webmasters crave it is harder to get and retain but more profitable. Domain -The key areas being your existing domain name are your basic foundation. That is your domain name and the usage of it. Is it for multiple website or does it house one website. Are you using many sub domains?
Linking - You currently have links to other websites, you do not want to lose them. Your BLOG is a content management system and has dynamic page generation. You don't want to lose your ranking in the search engines so you have to care for your links.

There exists an endless supply of tools available to webmasters to help them in making their website a success; of these one is reciprocal linking. Reciprocal links have been around a long time. Unfortunately, they are an often overlooked or under-used method today. How many times have you searched for a link partner to find that many websites do not even have a links page? Of those that do, few have an area on their website that actually welcomes you to request a link trade. It seems these websites are just islands unto themselves. They miss the beauty of the World Wide Web's strange, yet brilliant linking system.
Perhaps it is because it takes so long to build a quality website and the owner is not at all interested in promoting anyone else's enterprise. Maybe they are in a hurry to see immediate profits.
